Evolution Tutors

Evolution Tutors is a client website I designed and built for an online maths tuition brand. The site had one main job: present the tutoring service clearly, earn the trust of parents, and give the business a professional home that brings in enquiries from students studying GCSE, iGCSE and A-Level maths.

The problem

The client needed far more than a basic brochure site. The brief was to shape a credible tutoring brand from the ground up, explain the service in plain terms, strike the right tone for both parents and students, and build something that could grow beyond a single tutor later on. That meant real thought going into structure, copy, imagery and the overall feel, not just getting a few pages online.

What I built

• A WordPress website for an online maths tuition service with a clear, trustworthy public brand.
• Page layouts built around trust, clarity and explaining the service, from subjects and levels to how sessions work.
• Copy and content structure shaped with the client across several rounds of feedback.
• A visual style that made the brand feel established and approachable rather than homemade.
• Content written around the terms parents actually search for, such as online maths tutor, GCSE maths tuition and iGCSE support.
• Fast hosting on a DigitalOcean-backed stack, with room to grow.
• A foundation that could later take on more tutors and proper booking if the business needed it.

Product thinking

For a service business, the website's real job is to remove doubt. A parent needs to understand quickly what is on offer, who it is for and why it is worth getting in touch. So the design work centred on clarity, trust and making the service feel easy to approach, with clear prompts to enquire throughout. It was also planned with growth in mind: start as a site for one tutor, then expand into something broader with more tutors and structured booking down the line.

Why it matters

Evolution Tutors is a solid example of client-focused web work: listening to the brief, shaping a brand, refining the content and building something that genuinely helps a service business get found and get enquiries. It sits happily next to my ecommerce and product projects, because the same principles run through all of it: clear positioning, sensible user journeys and a site built to turn interest into action.

Current platform

The site runs on WordPress, originally built with Divi, and is hosted on a DigitalOcean-backed stack through Cloudways for speed and reliability.
