3DPrint.farm is Windows software for small 3D printing businesses. It connects the orders you have sold to the work your printers actually need to do, so you can see what is due, what is assigned, what is printing and what needs attention, all in one place.
The problem
Running a small print farm quickly outgrows spreadsheets and memory. Orders arrive across several marketplaces, jobs get assigned to different machines, prints fail, deadlines slip, and there is no single view of what is happening on the floor. Keeping track becomes a full-time job in itself.
What I built
- A Windows app that brings store orders and local printers into one working dashboard.
- Integrations that pull in orders from marketplaces like Shopify, eBay and WooCommerce.
- Printer assignment and local printer monitoring, so you can see what each machine is doing.
- A production view of what is due, due soon, printing now and how many printers are online.
- A structure built around real print-farm workflow rather than generic task management.
Approach
The design comes straight out of running a real 3D printing business. Instead of treating orders and printers as separate systems, 3DPrint.farm ties them together: an order is linked to the job, the job to a machine, and the machine's status back to the order. Privacy and security are part of the model, so no marketplace, order or customer data is sent anywhere it does not need to be.
Why it matters
3DPrint.farm is the operational tool I wished existed while scaling 3D Print Land. It takes the hard-won lessons of production, fulfilment and machine management and turns them into software other small print businesses can use.
Current status
3DPrint.farm is currently in beta, with early access available through the site and ongoing work on integrations, monitoring and production features.
